In Reply To A 555 timing circuit w/ a relay would probably work. (n/m) posted by my91z on May 21, 2012 at 06:41 PM

Message would have to interrupt the ECU ground to the fuel pump relay only for the condition when the engine was off and the ignition was on. You might be able to use the CAS signal (I don't know if there is an easier signal to use to indicate the engine is cranking/running) with a little RC and CMOS circuit to switch between ECU fuel pump relay control and another RC-MOSFET circuit that would provide the ground to prime for whatever time is desired.

A 555 and a few logic chips would work too but if the circuit is small enough I prefer to keep it as simple (=reliable) and cheap as possible.

To WazTTed, who is your aftermarket ECU manufacturer? I can't understand why there would be such a long prime setting.

Purpose of site is to archive Z information. It is found by using search. Same reason you go to a library to read books to research a topic instead of standing in the library lobby shouting your question hoping someone has read the books your answer is in. - LordZ
